Assisting small hotels to improve their environmental management practices is a key objective for the STEP program. STEP is working with CAST to develop an environmental walk-through service for the sector. This is intended to help small hoteliers to identify areas where environmental management practices can be improved, cost savings achieved through maintenance programs and equipment substitution and increased awareness of other environmental programs available through CAST and other entities in the region.
