The Organization of American States (OAS) has developed a set of Brands and Standards for Caribbean hotels, which has been formally endorsed by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) and Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA) as the definitive standards for Caribbean hotels.

The CHA and CTO are jointly developing the definitive web site for Caribbean tourism to be called “The Caribbean” Properties to be marketed through this site will need to meet the Entry Listing Requirements of the OAS standards a copy of which may be downloaded from the Hotel Self Assessment page.

We therefore encourage you to seek inclusion by completing the self-evaluation assessment section of this site as the first stage towards inclusion. Once completed and submitted, you will be contacted by a representative of CHA/CTO who will arrange for a “due diligence” appointment, at which time your property’s inclusion will either be affirmed or recommendations made to enable to you meet the Entry Listing Requirements and become included in the future.
